MAAT LANDER / ØRESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE – Maat Lander – Øresund Space Collective ‎(2020, Repress, Spilt LP Clostridium Records)

Label: Clostridium Records

Format: LP, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Repress, Green Marble, 333 copies

Release Date: April 2020

This Split album was originally a 2017 Clostridium LP/CD release. And since it is for quite some time now sold out, Andreas of Clostridium Records decided to give it another press! A repress of 333 copies on numbered green marble vinyl! The Russians Maat Lander shares the album with Denmark’s Øresund Space Collective (though ØSC are kind of a more International band). Each band “occupies” one side and contributes one song. “The Multicellular Structures Into The Space Drift” by Maat Lander (22:35min) has a heavy spacey-effected intro with millions of ‘bubbles’ and other ‘things’, slowly and progressively synths and guitars are taking the lead launching the track inside these colorful stratosphere layers of an unknown foreign planet. The track transforms into a groovy speedy powerful space-rock anthem and towards its end the mood rapidly slows down ending in a rather peaceful acoustic spacey way… “Easy Teenage Version” (19:31min) by Øresund Space Collective also moves into the Space-Rock genre but with a more experimental and improvised attitude. The ØSC spacecraft warms up its engines with huge doses of analogue (probably) spacey-effects. The Trip starts… Adventurous soundscapes, Impro-Space-Rock at its best, sometimes dark, others light… Starting soft, becoming heavy… Synthesizers are leading half the way… Then guitars are taking the wheel… An experimental tune that can set “every object” into orbit! A floating Space Experience, so do not let it slip away! Get it now! TimeLord Michalis
