Well, it seems that slowly but steadily, The Sences are opening their wings, initially in the European audience. After their recent successful Live appearance in Germany, they have a brand new 7 inch Single, released through French hot label, Rogue Records. The label’s press release says:

“Formed in 2021 in Thessaloniki, The Sences are six young firestarters breathing new life into the raw, electric spirit of 60s Garage Rock.

Barely out of their teens—but playing with the confidence and depth of seasoned pros—they channel the grit, urgency, and soul of a bygone era. Their sound is steeped in vintage fuzz, Farfisa organ swirls, and psychedelic undertones, delivered with an intensity that feels anything but retro.

Following a powerful debut EP and a full-length LP—both released on the acclaimed Greek label Lost In Tyme—The Sences return with two brand-new tracks: melodic, evocative, and dripping with authentic sixties flavor.

Close your eyes. You’re not in 2025. You’re in a forgotten garage somewhere in mid-60s America. The amps are humming, the walls are shaking, and the future is just beginning”…

Side A, “Emilia”, opens with a jangly déjà vu, three sun-drenched chords, and suddenly you’re cruising down Hollywood Boulevard in ’66, top down, AM radio blaring. It’s a glorious blend of folk-pop sparkle and late-60s West Coast psych, as if The Lemon Pipers and The Byrds met under the California sun (which they probably did, hehe). Pure sunshine pop nostalgia, warm, bright, and effortlessly melodic. Then “The Fall” flips the mood — same era, but even more explosive! With swirling organ, a fuzzed-out guitar straight from The Electric Prunes‘ playbook, and a creeping Farfisa build-up, it spirals into a raw, untamed garage-psych burner! A track that tries to get lost in the past, rather successfully I must admit! (and I have to confess that “The Fall” has become my second favorite Sences’ track after the indisputable psychedelicious “Psychosis” from their “Better Than Before” LP album). With “Emilia / The Fall”, The Sences slip through the cracks of time, trying to pay tribute to that golden age, by stepping right inside, sounding like a lost 45 pulled from a dusty jukebox in 1966.
