Formed in 1988, Vibravoid have become one of the most influential names of the European Neo-Psychedelic and Neo-Krautrock movement. Long before vintage fuzz pedals, Op-Art artwork, and coloured vinyl became fashionable again, the band was already championing the psychedelic revival, inspiring countless artists across the underground scene. Over nearly four decades, their uncompromising vision, legendary live performances, and collaborations with icons such as Sky Saxon have established Vibravoid as one of the true torchbearers of modern Psychedelia.

With “A Reason For Now”, set for release on September 18th, 2026 via Tonzonen Records, Germany’s psychedelic veterans Vibravoid once again prove that their creative journey is far from over. Rather than chasing trends or relying on nostalgia, the Düsseldorf-based trio continues to reshape the essence of late-’60s Psychedelia into something unmistakably their own. Deeply rooted in the kaleidoscopic spirit of 1966–1968, the album embraces swirling fuzz guitars, hypnotic grooves, cosmic melodies and mind-expanding sonic textures, yet never falls into the trap of mere imitation. Instead, A Reason For Now feels like a vivid hallucination where classic Psychedelia meets contemporary imagination, delivering another immersive chapter in the band’s ever-evolving universe.

“A Reason For Now” contains 9 tracks… The album opens with “Till The End Of Time”, and from its very first second you’re hit by a massive wall of vibrating fuzz and reverb. Layers upon layers of compact neo-psychedelic textures create an irresistible sonic assault, while the infectious groove and colourful sitar lines transform the song into a dazzling modern Popsike anthem deeply rooted in the spirit of the late ’60s.

With “Cinnamon Star”, Vibravoid invite us straight into the Holy Church of Psychedelic Poppy Fuzziness. Bursting with infectious energy, this Pop-Punk-Kosmische hybrid is impossible to resist, combining euphoric melodies, hypnotic grooves and enough psychedelic power to make even the dead rise for one last all-night freakbeat celebration (you know what happens when The Freaks come out at Night)…

“In The Sky Tonight” perfectly balances Doktor Koch’s catchy power-pop vocals with an expansive psychedelic soundscape. Krautrock and Progressive influences subtly weave through the arrangement, resulting in another instantly memorable anthem that effortlessly keeps both your mind and your feet moving.

On “All The Scars Inside”, the band delivers a joyful shagadelic celebration filled with swinging rhythms, shimmering sitar and hypnotic tabla. Overflowing with authentic ’60s psychedelic charm, it sounds like the kind of timeless summer hit that could have comfortably topped the charts in 1967, with a cheeky wink towards the golden era of Sunshine Psychedelia, straight to No. 1, leaving Strawberry Alarm Clock’s “Incense And Peppermints” to the 2nd place, hehe…

There’s no stoppin’ us now… The irresistible groove continues with “Yellow Horizon”, another colourful psychedelic-pop gem where swirling sound effects and infectious rhythms merge into a blissful dancefloor invitation. Dreamlike, uplifting and endlessly melodic, it’s simply impossible to remain still. Dance Little Sister, get up and Dance!

“Fuel The Flame” raises the temperature even higher with one of the album’s most explosive moments. Driven by relentless fuzz guitars and irresistible rhythms, it’s a psychedelic dancefloor burner that sounds destined for endless repeat plays at the coolest imaginary underground club, THE HIPPEST CLUB, the one called Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club! Smashing Baby!

The hypnotic “Voice In A Cage” once again showcases Vibravoid’s trademark dense fuzz sound, while the sitar melts seamlessly into the swirling guitar textures. Pulsating with hypnotic energy and an irresistible beat, the song becomes another memorable psychedelic trip built for both headphones and dancefloors alike. Can you Hear the Beat, Heartbeat, yeah!

A more nostalgic mood appears with “Second Hand Toy”, a beautifully crafted pastoral journey through memories, forgotten treasures and vintage emotions. Magical studio effects, warm melodies and the band’s unmistakable fuzzy guitar sound beautifully connect the psychedelic innocence of the ’60s with a contemporary emotional sensibility.

Closing the album, the eleven-minute “Strassenbahn” ventures into fully expanded cyberdelic territory. Neo-Krautrock collides with futuristic Psychedelia, cosmic electronics and hypnotic repetition to create an epic space-age dance ritual. Imagine a disco somewhere millions of light-years from Earth, where humans, robots and extraterrestrials lose themselves together beneath flashing lights, while Vibravoid provide the perfect soundtrack for the ultimate intergalactic psychedelic celebration…

In conclusion, above all, “A Reason For Now” is an album that refuses to let you stand still. Beneath its kaleidoscopic layers of fuzz, sitars, cosmic effects and psychedelic colours lies an irresistible pulse that transforms almost every track into a dancefloor invitation. Nearly four decades after their formation, Vibravoid continue to prove that Psychedelia is not a relic of the past but a vibrant, living force, effortlessly blending the spirit of the late ’60s with a contemporary groove. This is not simply an album to listen to—it’s an album to move to. A hypnotic, fuzz-soaked celebration where Psychedelia, Pop, Krautrock and rhythm unite in one glorious, groove-driven trip, making “A Reason For Now” one of the most infectious and danceable psychedelic releases of the last 20 or so years.
